- RESPONSE TO REQUEST FOR ADDITIONAL INFORMATION By letter dated January 16, 2018, Virginia Electric and Power Company (Dominion Energy Virginia), submitted a license amendment request (LAR) (Agencywide Documents Access Management System (ADAMS) Accession No. ML180258468) to consolidate the NAPS and SPS local emergency operations facilities (EOFs), the common back-up central EOF, and the headquarters support organization. Attachment 3 of the LAR contained. six additional changes that.were determined to require prior NRG staff approval in accordance *with 10 CFR 50.54.(q)(4) because they were considered reductions in effectiveness.

In an email dated May 1, 2018, the NRG transmitted a request for additional information (RAI) related to the LAR. The RAI contained five questions (numbered RAl-1 through RAl-5), of which RAl-3, RAl-4 and RAl-5 related to the content in Attachment 3 of the LAR. On May 10, 2018 a telecom was held between the NRG and Dominion Energy Virginia to discuss RAl-1 through RAl-5. A June 14, 2018, response date was agreed,. upon.

Subsequent to the May 10, 2018 telecom, Dominion Energy Virginia has decided not to pursue the changes proposed in Sections 2.1 and 2.6 of Attachment 3 of. the LAR.

Therefore, NRG review and approval of these sections is no longer requested or required and the responses to RAl-3, RAl-4 and RAl-5 related to these sections are not provided. ,.-

The changes proposed in Sections 2.1 and 2.6 of the license amendment request dated January 16, 2018 were also reflected in the marked-up and proposed NAPS and SPS emergency plan changes in Attachments 4, 5, 6, and 7 of that submittal.

The responses to RAl-1 and RAl-2 are provided in Attachment 1. Attachments 2, 3, 4, and 5 provide updated, marked-up, and proposed emergency plan changes for NAPS and SPS, respectively. *;
