Although the final reduced data is not yet available, testing has shown that up. to 6 assemblies will require special handling.

Stainless steel sleeves with a chrome plated wear surface either have been ox will be installed in all assemblies which will be used under CEAs in Cycle 2 and in some or all of the 22 assemblies which received detailed ECT analysis.. Only 1 assembly which was under a CEA in Cycle 1 will be under a CEA in Cycle 2. This assembly will be chosen based on minimum wear considerations.

The NSSS vendor has provided the NRC with detailed reports for other licensees who have experienced guide tube wear, and is of the opinion that any guide tube wear observed at St. Lucie Unit will bc bounded by (or will be less serious than) the observations1 and analyses for the other licensees.
