CLOSURE OF INVESTIGATION (014-2017-010)

Dear Mr. Giddens:

This refers to an investigation conducted by the U.S . Nuclear Regulatory Commission's (NRC's)

Office of Investigations regarding activities at Waterford Steam Electric Station . The Office of Investigations initiated the investigation to determine whether a former contract employee, who was employed by Williams Plant Services at Entergy Operations, lnc.'s Waterford Steam Electric Station in Kilona, Louisiana, was discriminated against for raising a safety concern.

Based on the evidence developed during the investigation, the allegation that the former contract employee was discriminated against for raising a safety concern was not substantiated.

The NRC plans no further action related to the discrimination aspect of this allegation and considers this investigation closed.
