We have seen considerable media attention related to the recently discovered leak at Indian Point. We all realize that the amount of tritium detected in the monitoring wells does not present a health or safety issue to the general publicYET.

I have some specific questions relater to this recent event and would appreciate your response.

It is OK to say I dont know.

1. Has the source of the leak been identified?
2. Has the leak been isolated?
3. When did the leak begin?
4. How long does it take for the tritium to migrate from the source to the monitoring wells?
5. Other than tritium, what other isotopes were leaked into the ground?
6. Was the leak the result of human error or pipe corrosion or design?
7. What was the leak rate and total volume and curie total released to the ground?
