Dear Sir or Madam:

Pursuant to the requirements of 10 CFR 72.44(d)(3) and Holtecs HI-STORM 100 Certificate of Compliance, Appendix A (Technical Specifications), Section 5.4, Entergy Operations, Inc.

(Entergy) is submitting the annual effluent release report for the independent spent fuel storage facility located at Arkansas Nuclear One (ANO). The report is to specify the quantity of each of the principal radionuclides released to the environment in liquid and gaseous effluents. This report addresses the operation of the independent spent fuel storage facility located at ANO during the 2015 calendar year.

The spent fuel storage cask systems employed at ANO do not create any radioactive material or have any radioactive waste treatment components. There is no gaseous or liquid pathway attributed to the spent fuel stored in the independent spent fuel storage facility. Radiological surveys and current postings were reviewed and demonstrated that no radionuclides were released to the environment in liquid or gaseous effluents during 2015. There is no impact to members of the public from the operation of the ANO independent spent fuel storage facility during the 2015 calendar year.

This fulfills the reporting requirements of 10 CFR 72.44(d)(3) and the HI-STORM 100 Technical Specification 5.4.

This letter contains no new regulatory commitments.
