Letter from Annette H. Pope (Duke Energy) to Victor M McCree (NRC), Date Change for 2014 and 2015 License OperatorExams, dated April 28, 2014, ADAMS Accession Number ML14129A009

Dear Mr. McCree:

Duke Energy Progress, Inc., is providing updated information on the dates for the 2014 Annual Operating Exam and the 2015 Biennial Written and Annual Operating Exam. The information in this letter supersedes the information that was originally provided in Reference 1.

The exam was originally scheduled to take place on November 3, 2014, during Operator Training Cycle 14-6, but is being moved forward to July 28, 2014, during Training Cycle 14-4.

This will support training on the new Emergency Operating Procedures during the 3 rd and 4 th quarters of 2014 and assist implementation following the Unit 2 refueling outage in 2015.

Additionally, the 2015 Biennial Written and Annual Operating Exam will be moved from November 2, 2015, during Training Cycle 15-6 to September 21, 2015, during Training Cycle 15-5. This change will support administration and remediation, as necessary, and move this away from the November/December holiday schedule.

This document contains no regulatory commitments.

Please refer any questions regarding this submittal to Mr. Lee Grzeck, Manager - Regulatory Affairs, at (910) 457-2487.

Sincerely, Anmte H.Ppe Director - Organizational Effectiveness Brunswick Steam Electric Plant AHP/mkb
