Dear Sir or Madam:

On March 12, 2012, the NRC staff issued Reference 1 requesting information pursuant to Title 10 of the Code of Federal Regulations 50.54(f). Enclosure 4 of that letter contains specific Requested Information associated with NTTF Recommendation 2.3 for Flooding. Per Reference 2, the NRC endorsed NEI 12-07. By Reference 3, Entergy Operations, Inc. (Entergy) submitted the final reports in response to the request for information.

One of the requirements of NEI 12-07 is to identify the APM associated with each applicable flood protection feature, determine if the margin provided is small, and evaluate any small margins that have potentially significant consequences through the corrective action process. The results of this effort were to be maintained on site for future NRC audits. Following the NRCs initial review of the walkdown reports, regulatory site audits were conducted at a sampling of plants. Based on the walkdown report reviews and site audits, the NRC identified additional information necessary to complete its assessments. Accordingly, by Reference 4 the NRC has issued RAIs.

As stated in Reference 5 Entergy discovered some discrepancies during the review of the Flooding Walkdown Reports provided by Reference 3 and committed to provide revised Flooding Walkdown Reports by February 28, 2014. The resolution of these discrepancies is currently ongoing, and it has been determined that additional time is needed to complete the work needed to support revising the Flooding Walkdown Reports. The determination of APM is dependent on finalization of these Flooding Walkdown Reports; therefore, Entergy will respond to the RAIs provided by Reference 4 and provide revised Flooding Walkdown Reports by April 30, 2014.

This letter contains a revised regulatory commitment, which is identified in the attachment. Should you have any questions regarding this submittal, please contact Stephenie Pyle at 479.858.4704.

I declare under penalty of perjury that the foregoing is true and correct. Executed on January 31, 2014.

Sincerely, Original signed by Jeremy G. Browning JGB/nbm
