\lEMA Illinois Emergency Management Agency Jonathon E. Monken, Director December 2, 2013 Mr. William King Chief, Technical Services Branch Federal Emergency Management Agency Region V 536 S. Clark Street, 7th Floor Chicago, IL 60605

Dear Bill:

Enclosed are ten copies of the revised Illinois Plan for Radiological Accidents (IPRA)-LaSalle, Volume III, dated 05/14. To facilitate the review by the Regional Assistance Committee (RAC), underlining and striking through indicate changes made since the last update. The underlining and striking through will be removed before the volume is printed in final form. The tables of contents in the enclosed copies may not be accurate due to the underlining and striking through.

The concepts of operations for the State of Illinois, LaSalle and Grundy counties as outlined in the 08/12 IPRA-LaSalle have not changed. The revisions to the IPRA-LaSalle do not decrease the effectiveness of the plan and the plan, we revised, continues to meet the guidance provided by NUREG-0654/FEMA REP-I.

In order to meet the Hostile Action-Based (HAB) plan submittal requirement and to meet printing deadlines, please provide your review comments by February 3, 2014, to allow time for their inclusion where appropriate. If your comments are not received by February 3, 2014, they will be included in the next update of an IPRA volume, if appropriate. If you have any questions, please contact William Conway at 217/785-9986.

Sincerely, Phillip R. Anello, Chief Disaster Recovery & Risk Reduction Enclosures 1035 Outer Park Drive
