FORTHCOMING PRE-SUBMITTAL MEETING WITH FIRSTENERGY NUCLEAR OPERATING COMPANY TO DISCUSS UPCOMING BEAVER VALLEY POWER STATION NATIONAL FIRE PROTECTION ASSOCIATION STANDARD 805 (NFPA 805) SUBMITTAL DATE & TIME: Wednesday, August 1,2012 1 :00 p.m. - 3:00 p.m.

LOCATION: U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission One White Flint North 11555 Rockville Pike, Room 06B4 Rockville, Maryland PURPOSE: The purpose of the meeting between FirstEnergy Nuclear Operating Company (FENOC, the licensee), and the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) staff is to discuss a future license amendment request (LAR) involving a transition to NFPA 80S, for Beaver Valley Power Station, Units 1 and 2. Specifically, the licensee has notified the NRC staff that current projections indicate that the previously committed due date of September 30,2012, for the NFPA 805 LAR, will not be met. The meeting will provide the licensee an opportunity to explain this projection.

CATEGORY 1:* This is a Category 1 Meeting. The public is invited to observe this meeting and will have one or more opportunities to communicate with the NRC after the business portion. but before the meeting is adjourned.
