Purpose of Todays Meeting

  • A public forum to discuss St. Lucie performance
  • NRC will address St. Lucie performance issues identified in the annual assessment letter
  • St. Lucie management will be given the opportunity to respond to the information in the letter and inform the NRC of new or existing programs to maintain or improve their performance

St. Lucie CY 2005 Assessment Results

  • Both units performance were within the Licensee Response Column of the NRCs Action Matrix.
  • All inspection findings were classified as very low safety significance (Green)
  • All performance indicators (PI) were Green.

St. Lucie Annual Assessment Summary

  • Florida Power and Light Company operated St. Lucie in a manner that preserved the publics health and safety and the environment
  • All cornerstone objectives were met
  • NRC plans baseline inspections at St. Lucie for the remainder of CY 2006
