Failure to establish and maintain the integrity of a vital area barrier is a violation of NRC requirement (50-293/85-24-01).

4. MC 92700 - Vital Area Survey Due to the deficiencies found as described above, the inspector requested the licensee to perform a vital area barrier survey throughout the plan The results of that survey were provided to the inspector prior to the conclusion of the inspection. The survey identified several questionable barriers and some deficiencies in other vital area barriers. The licensee stated that these will be promptly corrected (Inspector Followup Item 50-293/85-24-02).
