DOW CHEMICAL COMPANY, U.S. NUCLEAR REGULATORY COMMISSION SECURITY-RELATED INSPECTION REPORT NO. 50-264/2016-202

Dear Dr. OConnor:

From July 19-21, 2016, the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC or the Commission)

conducted a security inspection at your Dow TRIGA Research Reactor. The inspection included a review of activities authorized for your facility. Our inspection report presents the results of that inspection.

The inspection examined activities conducted under your license as they relate to security and compliance with the Commissions rules, regulations, and orders; implementation of certain compensatory measures; and compliance with the conditions of your license. The inspector reviewed selected procedures and records, observed activities, and interviewed personnel.

Based on the results of this inspection, no findings of significance were identified. No response to this letter is required.

In accordance with Title 10 of the Code of Federal Regulations (10 CFR), Section 2.390, Public inspections, exemptions, requests for withholding, a copy of this letter will be available electronically for public inspection in the NRC Public Document Room or from NRCs document system (Agencywide Documents Access and Management System (ADAMS)). ADAMS is accessible from the NRC Website at http://www.nrc.gov/reading-rm/adams.html (the Public Electronic Reading Room). However, because of the security-related items contained in the report and in accordance with 10 CFR 2.390(d), the inspection report will not be made available for public inspection.
