Title	Notification of Environmental Report to Another Government Agency
Event Description	At 2210 EDT on September 7, 2018, Duke Energy personnel determined that the following event required notification of a federal agency, North Carolina State agency and a local agency for a chemical spill exceedance. At 2140 EDT on September 7, 2018, plant personnel identified a sodium hypochlorite spill of more than the reportable quantity of 75.9 gallons. This notification is being made as a four-hour, non-emergency notification for a Notification of Other Government Agencies. This event is reportable in accordance with 10 CFR 50.72(b)(2)(xi). There was no impact on the health and safety of the public or plant personnel. The NRC Resident Inspector has been notified.
