DEPARTMENT OF ENERGY REPORT ENTITLED SEEP MONITORING EVALUATION REPORT MEXICAN HAT, UTAH DISPOSAL SITE (Docket Number WM-63)
Dear Ms. Denny:
I am writing in response to the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) report entitled Seep Monitoring Evaluation Report Mexican Hat, Utah, UMTRCA Title I Disposal Site dated December 2019 (Agencywide Documents Access and Management System [ADAMS] Package Accession Number ML20002A039). On January 3, 2019, DOE submitted the draft seep monitoring evaluation report to the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) for comment (ADAMS Package Number ML19010A182). On February 14, 2019, NRC staff provided DOE with comments on the draft report (ADAMS Accession Number ML19035A042). On December 20, 2019, DOE provided responses to the NRC staff comments (ADAMS Accession Number ML19360A023). NRC staff reviewed the final seep monitoring report and DOEs responses to our comments on the draft report do not have any additional comments or questions at this time.
In accordance with Title 10 of the Code of Federal Regulations Part 2.390 of the NRCs Agency Rules of Practice and Procedure, a copy of this letter will be available electronically for public inspection in the NRC Public Document Room or from the Publicly Available Records component of NRCs ADAMS. ADAMS is accessible from the NRC Website at http://www.nrc.gov/reading-rm/adams.html.
