NRC Inspection of ASR at Seabrook

  • In 2021, the NRC completed inspections to assess NextEras performance to manage the effects of ASR in Seabrook structures

- ASR inspections completed in each quarter

- Resident inspectors and specialists from Region I and NRC Headquarters involved

- Focused on compliance with NRC-approved methodology and license conditions

  • NRC inspections in 2021 determined Seabrook structures remain capable of performing their safety functions
  • NRC inspectors identified two findings of very low safety significance 12

  • 4Q2021 - Finding related to not properly evaluating ASR-related indications in the Containment Internal Structure per the Structures Monitoring Program 13
