Dear Dr. Myers:
As requested, attached are excerpts from the trial testimony of Mr. William Zewe. You will note that Mr. Zewe does not flatly deny that there was a manual actuation of HPI at 0541 on March 28, 1979; however, in the direct examination, Mr. Zewe testified that there was only one manual actuation of HPI between 0500 and 0800. This is in contrast to earlier statements and the GPU Sequence of Events which described manual HPI actuation at 0541 and 0720 on March 28, 1979.
I wish to express my appreciation for discussing your concerns regarding this case with Mr. Norton of my staff and for providing a copy of Mr. Keaten's speech of November 12, 1979.
Sincerely, f,/ W YNYt*fd.%
