Peterson Assistant Director for Internal Security Ir.ternational Programs Office of Governmental and Public Affairs Washington, D.C. 20555

Dear Mr. Peterson:

Y Enclosed are two applications for license to export nuclear material.

The ultimate consignee's are members of the Siemens AG family of companies as is ANF. We are singly and collectively engaged in light water fuel fabrication and have a need to exchange low enriched uranium compounds for joint research and development purposes.

It would be helpful for administrative purposes if the two applications were combined into a single license. Also, the first scheduled shipment identified on the Form 7 is November; however, we would prefer to ship earlier if the export license can be authorized at an earlier date.

Thank you for your assistance.
