REQWRDerr3 I QA has the responsibility to ensure that conduits and conduit boxes designated for Class IE cables (divisions of sepsration) have been installed according to the design docunents in the workplen rtad tLia instruction. All other conduits and boxes may be inspected by the Cognir. ant &.gineer.

Installed conduit systems and conduit boxes shall be inspected for the following:

A. Size. type and location B. Identification I C. Grounds I D.

E.

Conduit fittings Flexible conduit installation F. Burrs and sharp edges at terminations G. Physical separation H. Conduit hangers I. Conduit terminations NorE: Conduit box size, type, and location (where applicable) shall be verified and documented when inspection is performed on each conduit' which terminates in the box.

Acceptance Criteria - -

i I A. Size type, and location shall conform to the EN DES approved drawing in the workplan.

NorE: Rigid steel conduit may be substituted for aluminum conduit in the event of a shortage of aluminum conduit, if care is exercised in the selection of supports.

B. Identification I Conduit shall be tagged per TVA Standard Drawing CD-E-15 3.4 of ceneral Construction Specification 0-k0. Conduit boxes shall be labeled with the assigned nameplate and Junction box (identification number JB).specified on the applicable EN DES drawing. When no nameplate is assigned, the box I shall be identified by the specified JB number with sylar self-sticking tape (or equal) in accordance with TVA Standard Drawing DS-E1.2.2.

N. Conduit Mangers

1. In seismic Class I buildias, hangers shall be spaced as follows:

5 ft. (max.) - 1 ft. (ain.) for 3/4" and under to it. (max.) - 1 ft. (min.) for 1" and above l

2. Four inch or smaller 1-hole pipe straps and 4-inch or smaller conduit boxes, shall be installed in accordance with the requirements of I drawings 47A056-2 and -76 respectively. Inspection shall be ac-complished with the related conduit and documented by the inspector's alsmature and date on the inspection sheet.
3. -In aca-seismic areas, conduit supperta shall be spaced in accordance with the National Electric Code OIEC) and documented by the inspector's sisaature and date on the inspecties sheet.

I I. Termination

3. Conduit terminating la a conduit boa or cabinet that do not have treaded hubs or bosses shall be secared usias a locknut and a bushing on the inside sad a lockaut on the outside. In wet locations co duit I hubs may be used.

NOTE: If there is insufficient space for busking installation, coa-duit ends may be rounded to approximately 1/16 inch radius.

2. A bushing or chase nipple shall be lastalled when a conduit termin-ates beneath a cabinet or board.

Documentation conditions encountered that were not anticipated and say NCR's FCR's, design deviations, etc. shall be recorded la the "Reserks" section of the inspection sheet. This I

inspection shall be docismested em the inspection sheet as shows on Attachasst A or by l signature in the work lastructions of the workplan.

The identificattom of the conduit bones included la this inspection shall be re-corded in the " Remarks" secties of the f aspecties sheet er near the signeff in the I work lastructions.
