September 25, 2020 SCOPING COMMENTERS: Generic Environmental Impact Statement for Advanced Nuclear Reactors

SUMMARY
REPORT FOR THE GENERIC ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT STATEMENT FOR ADVANCED NUCLEAR REACTORS On April 30, 2020, the Commission issued a Notice of Intent to prepare an Advanced Nuclear Reactor Generic Environmental Impact Statement in the Federal Register (FR) (84 FR 62559). In accordance with Title 10 of the Code of Federal Regulations Part 51.26, the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) conducted a scoping meeting to collect comments. The NRC staff also collected comments from the public via e-mail, standard mail, and regulations.gov.
The NRC staff reviewed the transcripts from the public meeting and all comments received during the public scoping period, and also identified individual comments. The NRC staff has prepared the enclosed Scoping Summary Report that summarizes the comments received during public scoping.
