Units 1 and 2) l SERVED JUN -41985 ORDER

~

on May 29 and 30, 1985, intervenors Air and Water Pollution Patrol ,AWPP) and the inmates of the State Correctional Institution at Graterford, Pennsylvania, respectively, appealed the Licensing Board's May 24, 1985, order "iraplementing its [May 9, 1985] grant of applicant's motion for exemption." The inmates also seek a stay of the Board's order and incorporate by reference what was essentially a brief in support of the inmates' earlier, premature appeal from the May 9 Licensing Board order.

Because of the nature of the matters involved in these appeals, good cause c;.ists for shortening the briefing period. See 10 C.F.R. S 2.711(a). AWPP's brief and that of any other party in support of these appeals is to be received by us and the other parties by close of business 8506040678 850603 t PDR ADOCK 05000352 ($j PDR C

FOR THE APPEAL BOARD

b. Nharh C. Jegn Shoemaker Secretary to the Appeal Board Mr. Edles did not participate in this order.

1 We remind all parties, especially AWPP, that they should confine their arguments to the merits of the Licensing Board's May 9 and May 24 orders, which granted applicant's exemption request.
