Dear Governor Kemp,

First, we wanted you to know that we support all of your tireless efforts to protect our citizens across the state.

As we move to an extended shelter in place" time in our state, we wanted to suggest that utility service workers, utility support and protection entities, and power plant construction laborers should be designated by the State of Georgia and its counties or municipalities as "essential personnel," and that the state of Georgia adopt the definition of "critical infrastructure workers," as recommended in the U.S. Department of Homeland Security CISA guidance.

This definition includes construction workers at Plant Vogtle due to the importance of keeping this plant on schedule in case of long-term worst-case scenarios.

Again, thank you for all you and your staff are doing.

Sincerely, Georgia Public Service Commission Commissioner Chuck Eaton Commissioner Tim Echols Commissioner Bubba McDonald Commissioner Tricia Pridemore Commissioner Jason Shaw
