S' With respect to communications, we ,have been advised that a tele-copier system is being established between the EOF at Indian Point, the County EOC and the State EOC to transmit information rapidly in hard copy. When the equipment is ir. place in cur radiolegical assessment room, part of the co=munications problems will have been addressed; in the interim the assessment team will use another tele-copier in the EOC.

Funds have been allocated to the Health Department from the county share of monies paid to the state by the utilities which funds are being used to purchase some supplies for the decontamination centers and for additional radiological i

monitoring equipment. This will answer part, not all, of the equipment deficiency.

Further, the state has provided some low range dosimeters to the. county which are being distributed to those agencies requiring them, including the iiealth Department.

We are advised that additional personnel monitoring equipment is being procurad by the state and will be distributed likewise in the future.

Training was provided by the state in November 1982 for 35 Health Department staff l

on the status of remedial actions on interim findings on the adequacy of the CRERP. We note that those remediel actions that directly effect Health Department responsibilities either have been addressed or are being addressed at the state level at this time in preparation for work sessions with the county scheduled for early January 1983 at which time revisions to the county plan will be written.

The Health Dcpcrtmcnt intends to coeperate and to participate in these sessions.

i Hopefully, the deficiencies I have referenced and those set forth in the FEMA report will be satisfactorily addressed through these efforts. .
