Alabama Power Company submits the attached Process Control Program (PCP) for the radwaste solidification unit currently in operation at the Joseph M.

Farley Nuclear Plant. A topical report was submitted to the NRC by Chem-Nuclear Systems, Incorporated by letter, dated July 20, 1979, describing this process. Alabama Power Company may change to a different process in the future depending on results of a study of other available processes.

This subject was discussed with your staff in a July 9, 1980 meeting.
