The Midland, Michigan nuclear power plant is being constructed in large part to provide power for the Dow Chemical Company industrial complex in that city. In October,1977, Dow Chemical had a chlorine release that made it necessary to evacuate 4000 people, including What would have happened those working on the nuclear plant.
