Enclosure 2 SAFETY EVALUATION REPORT Docket No. 71-9370 Model No. 380-B Certificate of Compliance No. 9370 Revision No. 1 EVALUATION By letter dated September 12, 2022 (Agencywide Documents Access and Management System (ADAMS) Accession No. ML22269A558), U.S Department of Energy, National Nuclear Security Administration (the applicant), requested renewal of Certificate of Compliance No. 9370 for the Model No. 380-B transportation package. The applicant did not request any changes to the package design, operating procedures, or acceptance tests and maintenance program. The application, as supplemented, includes a description of the quality assurance program applicable to this package.

These changes do not affect the ability of the package to meet the requirements of Title 10 of the Code of Federal Regulations Part 71.

CONDITIONS The revision number of the certificate has been increased to 1. The following conditions were revised in the Certificate of Compliance:

Condition No. 11 was revised as follows Revision 0 of this certificate may be used until November 30, 2023.

Condition No. 11 was renumbered as Condition No. 12 and revised to reflect the new expiration date of November 30, 2027.

The references section has been updated to include the date for the request for renewal.

CONCLUSION Based on the statements contained in the application, and the conditions listed above, the staff concludes that the changes indicated do not affect the ability of the package to meet the requirements of 10 CFR Part 71.
