I, Robert W. Culpepper, mayor of the City of Harlem, am writing to express my support for the Vogtle 3 and 4 Project.

The owners ofthe Vogtle Plant - Georgia Power, Oglethorpe Power Corporation, Municipal Electric Authority of Georgia (MEAG) and Dalton Uti lities - have a proven track record for the safe operation of nuclear facilities and operate the existing Vogtle Plant in a safe and environmentally friendly manner. In addition to providing power for countless Georgians, this project will provide jobs for many in the area and bring new residents to Harlem and other nearby communities. The entire region really does stand to benefit from this project.

I would like to recommend that the NRC approve the Vogtle 3 and 4 COL (Docket Nos.

52-025-COL and 52-026-COL).
