G20130776 - Columbia Seismic Hazards Petition (Pearson/Gilbert) O&WPSR I just spoke with the POC for the Oregon & Washington Physicians for Social Responsibility, Chuck Johnson, regarding the letter dated 10/31/13 from Drs. Pearson and Gilbert. I described that the 10 CFR 2.206 process was a public process, and he said they have no objections to making their letter public.

Mr. Johnson would like the opportunity for the petitioners to address a pre-meeting of the PRB by telecon. Drs.

Pearsons and Gilberts schedules are flexible, and they should be able to accommodate about any time during the work day. Ill prepare the PRB presentation and set up a pre-meeting phoncon using Outlook, with recording and transcription. I did not give him the results of our review of their petition for immediate actions.

He also asked for a copy of Energy Northwests letter to the NRC requesting assistance in getting information from the USACE re: dam flooding analysis, which I believe is public. If so, Ill send it to him.

He also asked if other interested parties in the region could participate in the process. I wasnt sure about that, or how they could be included or added. If you let me know, Ill contact him with the answer.

P.S. fyi, Dr. Pearson is a retired family practice physician, and Dr. Gilbert is a PhD in neurotoxicology, specializing in environmental effects, who is still active in the field.
