Dear Mr. DelaBarre:
Enclosed is an application dated August 22, 2018, recently received by the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC), from Matheson Tri-Gas, Inc., requesting amendment 02 to its existing license, XMAT429/01 . The license presently authorizes the export of up to 2,800 kilograms of deuterium gas to the Republic of Korea and Taiwan for non-nuclear end use in semiconductor devices.
The purpose of the amendment is to : 1) change the licensee point of contact; 2) change the address for Matheson Tri-Gas lnc.'s Tennessee location; 3) add the applicant's Newark, California plant to the list of suppliers and/or other parties; 4) change the address of Taiyo Nippon Sanso Taiwan Inc.; and 5) extend the date of expiration from December 31 , 2018, to December 31 , 2020.
There are no changes to the terms and conditions of the existing license being requested .
Therefore , our office is processing this as a minor amendment, and if no comments are received from the public within the 30-day comment period , and it is determined that applicable legal requirements are satisfied , the NRC will issue the license.
