/Re: Docket No. 50-289 In the Matter of Metr.opolitan Edison Company Three Mile Island Nuclear Station, Unit #1 As a citi:en of tne area served by Metropolitan Edison Company and one who resides within 20 miles of the Three Mile Island Nuclear Station, I would like to go on record concerning the reopening-and operation of Unit il of the Three Mile Island Nuclear Station (TMI-1).
Frcm all the data available to me, it would appear to be unwarranted to continue the order to Metropolitan Edison Company to maintain TMI-1 in a cold shutdown condition.
It does not appear to represent a hazard to the public to initiate operation of TMI-1.
It further there,is economic advantage to the area and to the citize\ appears that ns of the area to have TMI-1 in full operation.
Any cost / benefit analysis would have
:o conclude tnat the best interests of the residents of the area are served by imediately placing TMI-1 into operation.
: would urge the Ccmission to rescind their order and allow TMI-1 to start up and reach full power operation.
