| By letter dated October 16, 2013 (Agencywide Documents Access and Management System (ADAMS) Accession No. ML13294A021), Arizona Public Service Company (the licensee) submitted information pertaining to their 2013 steam generator (SG) inspections at the Palo Verde Nuclear Generating Station, Unit 1. These inspections were performed during the seventeenth refueling outage of Unit 1. By letter dated October 16, 2013 (Agencywide Documents Access and Management System (ADAMS) Accession Number ML13294A021), Arizona Public Service Company (the licensee) submitted the Unit 1 Steam Generator Inspection Report pertaining to SG inspections performed during the seventeenth refueling
outage of Unit 1. The U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) staff has reviewed the submittal and requests additional information (RAI) as detailed in the attachment.
Draft RAIs were issued on January 14, 2014. A clarification was held on January 24, 2014. it was agreed that APS will respond to these RAIs within 30 days, which is February 23, 2014. Please treat this e-mail as transmittal of formal RAIs. If circumstances result in the need to revise the requested response date, please
