SUPPLEMENTAL IN~ORMATION RESPONSE TO GENERIC LETTER 89-06 SAFETY PARAMETER DISPLAY SYSTEM SALEM GENERATING STATION UNITS 1 AND 2 DOCKET NOS. 50-272 AND 50-311 Public Service Electric and Gas (PSE&G) hereby provides the supplemental information relative to the Salem Generating Station Safety Parameter Display System (SPDS). These issues were discussed with the NRC Licensing Project Manager, Mr. J. Stone during a telecon held May 10, 1989.
SUPPLEMENTAL IN~ORMATION RESPONSE TO GENERIC LETTER 89-06 SAFETY PARAMETER DISPLAY SYSTEM SALEM GENERATING STATION UNITS 1 AND 2 DOCKET NOS. 50-272 AND 50-311 Public Service Electric and Gas (PSE&G) hereby provides the supplemental information relative to the Salem Generating Station Safety Parameter Display System (SPDS). These issues were discussed with the NRC Licensing Project Manager, Mr. J. Stone during a telecon held May 10, 1989.
Reliability of the SPDS has been addressed by the installation of an Uniterruptible Power Supply. A Programmatic Standard entitled "Configuration Control of Process Computer Systems" has been developed to maintain process control. A "Man-In-The-Loop" test has been written and completed. PSE&G considers.the SPDS to be fully operational as of March 31, 1990.
