Attached for your review is a revised Appendix K calculation required by the NRC Staff draft Safety Evaluation Report for the UPI Best Estimate Methodology Program.
Attached for your review is a revised Appendix K calculation required by the NRC Staff draft Safety Evaluation Report for the UPI Best Estimate Methodology Program.         This calculation differs from the calculation in Exhibit E of our July 5, 1988 License Amendment Request in that a return to nucleate boiling, after reaching the critical heat flux, is prohibited during blowdown.
