y DO NOT ALLOW BUILDING OF THE BAILLY NUCLEAR PLANT!

It is contemptuous to disregacd the advise of your regional director, James G. Keppler who made public a letter to your office.

It stated "THE BAILLY SITE HAS FAILED ALL EIGHT NRC l

SITING AND POPULATION CRITERIA."

Bailly is located next to Gary and within 30 miles of Chicago, It is immediately next to the huge new Bethlehem Steel Plant,

, It is adjacent to the Indiana Dunes National I.akeshore.

l It sits only:

l 1,000 feet from six oil tanks with a 31 million L gallon capacity, 400 feet from a 450,000 gallon feul oil tank, 200 feet from a 16 inch naturalgas pipeline and m 150 feet from a 10-inch gas pipeline. .

A fire in any of these installations wo uld necessitat 4 l the immediate evacuation of the Bailly plant itself, r l
