SUBJECT:

CHEATING ON OPERATOR EXAMINATIONS AT TROJAN NUCLEAR POWER PLANT Region V was informed today that Portland General Electric (PGE) represen-tatives have identified an individual who had notes available to him during a recent requalification examination.

PGE has initiated an investigation of this matter.

We request Office of Investigation participation in review of this situation.

Region V is sending a team to the site tomorrow to gather additional ~ infor-mation and interview personnel, if possible.

If you are unable to support this effort, please infonn us as soon as possible.

l Preliminary Notification No. PN0-V-84-07 is being issued on this subject.
