Dear Ms. Chen:

In references [1] and [2], NRC staff requested additional information (RAIs) needed to complete their detailed technical review of HI-STORM 100 Amendment 15 to the Certificate of Compliance No. 1014. This letter provides the responses to the two remaining RAIs. to this letter contains the clarification information to the responses to RAIs 3-6 and 4-3. Attachments 2 and 3 contain the FSAR changed pages in proprietary and non-proprietary versions. These FSAR pages utilize track changes and yellow highlighting to identify changes specific to these RAI responses. Attachments 4 and 5 contain the shielding calculation package and thermal calculation package. Attachment 6 contains a proposed updated drawing related to the amendment. Holtec considers information in Attachments 2, 4, 5, and 6 to be proprietary information; therefore, Attachment 7 to this letter is an affidavit prepared in accordance with 10 CFR 2.390 requesting that these attachments be withheld from public disclosure.
