'At approximately 2400 hours0.0278 days <br />0.667 hours <br />0.00397 weeks <br />9.132e-4 months <br /> on 11/1/75 a leak was discovered in the-Schedule 10, 6" line from the BWST to P36A Makeup Pump. Leak was
- - -located approximately 1/2" from the reducer to pipe weld, 14" pipe to '~
- . 6'.'_ pipe on the pipe side .of the weld. The affected area was radio-- -
graphed and showed no evidence of a crack; however it did indicate -
pitting.

- 10. Corrective Action:
A spool piece has been removed from the affected area of pipe approximately two feet long and replaced. Two welds immediately downstream of the leak were radiographed and showed no evidence of pitting; therefore it appears this is an isolated case. The spool piece will receive metallurgical examination to determine the cause and to determine if additional investi- '
gation or corrective measures are necessary:
