Site        : TURKEY POINT Emergency Class    : NON EMERGENCY "On September 10, 2012, an injured American Crocodile was identified inside of a valve pit adjacent to the Turkey Point cooling canals. The animal was removed and released into the canal system. The injuries were caused by interaction with another animal, and were not caused by plant operations. The Federal Fish and Wildlife Service and the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC) were notified on 9/14/12 at 1410."
The NRC Resident has been informed.      Notified R2DO (Shaeffer) and the Endangered Species Group via email.
