            (GENERIC LETTER 92-07)
This is to inform you that, effective October 4, 1992, the Office of Nuclear ReactqprRegulation (NRR) was reorganized. The new organization better aligns management of technical activities within the Associate Director for Inspection and Technical Assessment (ADT), transfers some functions to the Associate Director for Projects (ADP), and transfers the responsibility for conducting environmental reviews from ADP to the Associate Director for Advanced Reactors and License Renewal (ADAR).
Some Senior Executive Service (SES) positions have been realigned. The number of technical divisions remains at six. Responsibility for generic activities, event followup and standard technical specifications has been realigned from ADT to ADP. The organizational change includes realigning six branches, creating a new branch, and consolidating environmental functions into a single branch level organization. Individual assignments and tasks are essentially unchanged. The new NRR organization chart which depicts the new structure and manager reporting relationships is enclosed.

October ad, 1992 TO: ALL Holders of Operating Licenses or Construction Permits for Nuclear Power Reactors SUBJECT: OFFICE OF NUCLEAR REACTOR REGULATION REORGANIZATION

This generic letter contains no information collection requirements and therefore is not subject to the requirements of the Paperwork Reduction Act of

1980 (44 U.S.C. 3501 et seq.).
