In the Matter of Tennessee Valley Authority Docket Nos.50-259 50-260 50-296 BROWNS FERRY NUCLEAR PLANT (BFN)-TVA BFN TECHNICAL SPECIFICATION (TS)NO.330-DELETE LIST OF PIPE WELDS-UNITS 1, 2 AND 3 In accordance with the provisions of 10 CFR 50.4 and 50.90, we are submitting a request for an amendment (TS-330)to licenses DPR-33, DPR-52 and DPR-68 to change the BFN TS for Units 1, 2 and 3 (Enclosure 1).The proposed change for Units 1, 2 and 3 will delete, in Technical Specification 4.6.G, the list of additional inspections required to be performed on certain circumferential pipe welds.The deletion of the list of welds does not remove the requirement to perform the weld inspections which are done to provide additional protection against pipe whip.A description and justification in support of the proposed change is provided as Enclosure 2.A proposed determination of no significant hazards is provided in Enclosure 3.We request that these specifications be made effective 30 days after rissuance.
