Fitness for Duty Program Six Month Performance Report July - December 2007 PROGRAM

SUMMARY

The Waterford 3 annual random testing rate is 50 percent. During this reporting period, approximately 26.33 percent of the population has been randomly tested.

The rate of positive tests from random testing is 0.00 percent. The total random percentage for the year is 54.62 percent.

POSITIVE RESULTS:

As shown on the attached sheets, there were six positive tests during this reporting period, The samples were confirmed positive for cocaine, marijuana, and alcohol.

The column for marijuana is split in two. The left side shows the two samples confirming. positive at the NRC established cut-off and the right side shows the one sample confirming positive at the lower cut-off established by Entergy.

MANAGEMENT ACTIONS:

During pre-access testing, one licensee and two contractors tested positive.

Management was notified and the individuals' files were annotated to relect the positive results and management's actions.

During this reporting period, one for-cause test was requested and it was due to an accident. The sample returned negative results. Two follow-up samples were

.collected from a licensee employee and both returned negative, results.

Seventeen samples were collected under the "Other" category. Fifteen of these samples were collected due to low creatinine on the previous sample submitted by the individual. Additional samples were collected from these individuals under direct observation and sent for testing. Two of these fifteen samples returned positive results: One of the seventeen samples collected under the "Other" category was collected due to low temperature on the previous sample and returned positive results. One of the seventeen samples collected under the "Other" category was collected due to an invalid result on the individual's previous sample and returned negative results. Management was notified of the three positives, and the individuals' files were annotated to reflect the positive results and management's actions.
