l 1.0 Emergency Core Cooling (ECC) Systems Outage

j From January 1, 1989 to December 31, 1989, there were 16 limiting conditions (LCO's) for the ECC Systems.

Two.(2) of

'the-16-LCO's were actually requirements per Technical-Specifications.

The remaining 14 were'for' tracking.

At g

Shoreham, an LCO is categorized as a " tracking LCO" if the.

I technical specification LCO occurred while the reactor was F

,in an operational mode other:than thatJfor.which the LCO is l

applicable.

Tracking LCO's_are important because they 4

provide assurance that operability will be restored prior to' b

' entering the applicable operational mode.

One of the actual

-LCO's_was for:the Core Spray (CS),-E21 system, and the Low Pressure Coolant Injection (LPCI), E11 system.

The other f

was for the Core Spray,.E21 system.

_l V.

-t These'two actual LCO's are detailed in Table 1-1 4

indicating for each component by system, the outage dates, duration, and.the reason for-the outage.

2.0 Personnel and Man-Rem by Work and Job Function

[

The following table entitled, "Shoreham Report of Personnel and Man-Rem by' Work and Job Function",,was prepared to provide _the information required by Technical Specification j

Sectionsu6.9.1.4 and 6.9.1.5.

The values for man-rem by work and job function'were obtained from the direct reading dosimeter (DRD) recordings on the Radiation Work Permits (RWP's).

These values were insignificant and appear as zero i

on the table,.except for the_ man-rem for operating personnel under routine maintenance.

The total man-rem for all a

employees was obtained from the summation-of the thermoluminescent dosimeter (TLD) readings.

To arrive at' meaningful values.for Total and Grand Total man-rem by work' and job function, the DRD recordings for each job. function were multiplied by the ratio of total employee TLD over the i

total'employeo DRD values.

[

For this reporting period, 1/1/89 through 12/31/89, no individual was exposed to more than 100 mrems/yr.

Therefore, a1 table indicating personnel exposures greater i

than 100 mrems/yr. is not included in this report.
