COMMISSIONER GRETA DICUS TO TAKE OATH OF OFFICE ON FEBRUARY 15 Greta Joy Dicus will formally begin her duties as a Commissioner of the Nuclear Regulatory Commission on Feb. 15.
Chairman Shirley Ann Jackson will administer the oath of office in a small private ceremony at the NRC.

Before being nominated to the NRC by President Clinton, Ms.
Dicus had served more than nine years as Director of the Division of Radiation Control and Emergency Management of the Arkansas Department of Health. In that post, she also was Arkansas liaison officer with the NRC and Arkansas Commissioner on the Central Interstate Low-Level Radioactive Waste Commission. She also has served as a Director of the U.S. Enrichment Corp.
Ms. Dicus earned a bachelor's degree from Texas Woman's University and a master's degree in radiation biology from the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School.
