NRC NEWS U.S. NUCLEAR REGULATORY COMMISSION Office of Public Affairs Telephone: 301/415-8200 Washington, DC 20555-0001 E-mail: opa@nrc.gov Web Site: www.nrc.gov No.03-014 January 24, 2003 NRC PROVIDES A NEW SEARCH INTERFACE TO PUBLIC DOCUMENTS THROUGH ITS WEB SITE The Nuclear Regulatory Commission has released an additional search interface for its online Agency-wide Documents Access and Management System (ADAMS) to make it easier to find and obtain public NRC documents.
The new search and retrieval interface allows users to access documents directly from the NRC web site. The new search engine features basic and advanced search options for users to search and retrieve files of publicly available documents.
Other special features of the new interface include highlighting of search terms in document texts, an option to search for similar documents, and indicators for those documents in a search list already viewed.
