On January 19, 2005, representatives of Region 111 met with members of the Point Beach Nuclear Plant (PBNP) staff to discuss process changes being implemented to improve the quality of Confirmatory Action Letter (CAL) Action Step closure documentation. At that meeting, it was requested that Nuclear Management Company, LLC (NMC) notify the Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) when CAL Action Steps are completed, to enable scheduling of NRC resources to inspect the completed work products.
In accordance with that request, eighty-eight (88) CAL commitment Action Steps listed in the enclosure to this letter have been completed and are available for review by the NRC.
