EA-02-026 ANSWER TO COMMISSION ORDER OF FEBRUARY 25. 2002 NOW comes The Detroit Edison Company and by way of Answer To The Commission's Order says that it consents to the issuance of the Order. Further, The Company says that it has already implemented many of the interim measures set forth in the Order. A discussion of each of the interim measures is included in Attachment 2 to this Answer along with dates for completion of items not already implemented. Some of the interim measures are not applicable to the Fermi 2 plant design and these are clearly discussed in Attachment 2. Detroit Edison believes that it will be able to comply with all of the interim measures considered necessary for the Fermi 2 plant design within the time limits established in the Order, and the schedule for implementation of these interim measures is included in Attachment 2. None of the interim measures identified in the Order will cause Detroit Edison to be in violation of the provisions of any Commission regulation or the Fermi 2 facility license.
Detroit Edison will notify the NRC by letter if changes in methods of, or schedules for, complying with their interim measures are determined to be necessary; and as required by the NOTICE: Attachment 2 contains "Safeguards Information".
Upon separation of Attachment 2, this Attachment is "DECONTROLLED".
