Dear Ms. Vietti-Cook:
By letter dated April 27, 2004, Southern Nuclear Operating Company (SNC) submitted a combined SNC Security Plan for Edwin 1. Hatch Nuclear Plant, Joseph M. Farley Nuclear Plant, and Vogtle Electric Generating Plant as required by Order EA-03-086. Subsequent revisions to the SNC Security Plan were submitted to the NRC by letters dated May 10, 2004, June 1, 2004, July 16, 2004, July 23, 2004 and August 9, 2004.
The version of the SNC Security Plan being submitted in the Enclosure to this letter incorporates the subsequent revisions to the initial plan as well as the generic industry language which SNC has adopted in various places which has been agreed upon by the NEI Security Working Group licensee representatives and the NRC. The Enclosure also includes a summary of the blast analysis results that members of the NRC staff and members of the SNC staff discussed at a meeting on August 19, 2004. This summary is a revision to the response in our August 9, 2004 letter to RAI 1 from the NRC letter dated July 23, 2004.
