This is an Information Meeting with a Question and Answer Session. The purpose of this meeting is for the NRC staff to meet directly with individuals to discuss regulatory and technical issues. Attendees will have an opportunity to ask questions of the NRC staff or make comments about the issues discussed throughout the meeting; however, the NRC is not actively soliciting comments towards regulatory decisions at this meeting.
Purpose:
This information public meeting is to discuss a revision to RG 1.183, Revision 1 (https://www.nrc.gov/docs/ML2308/ML23082A305.pdf). NRC staff will discuss updates to extend the applicability of the guidance to higher burnup and increased enrichment fuel applications, in support of the NRCs Increased Enrichment Rulemaking (https://www.regulations.gov/document/NRC-2020-0034-0005 ), and to address feedback that is relevant to the guidance. This meeting will allow for the NRCs external stakeholders to participate in the regulatory process by reviewing draft changes to guidance and providing input to NRC staff as described in the NRCs policy statement on public meetings at 86 FR 14964.
