Dear Michael Ravnitzky:
This letter is an update to our letter to you dated May 2, 2023 (Agencywide Documents Access and Management System Accession No. ML23118A037), relative to your November 7, 2022, request for a Mandatory Declassification Review. You requested review of several SECY papers from 1978.
The NRC initially requested a review of the papers by two other U.S. Government agencies with interest in the information contained within. Both agencies have requested additional reviews from two additional Government agencies. As soon as the NRC receives a determination from these two additional agencies, we will respond to your request.
The U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission reference number is MDR-001-2023.
