The Commission continues to evaluate the NRC staff's recommendations and options to license emerging technologies used for the remediation of mine waste. The Commission appreciates the information provided in your letter. We value your input and other stakeholders' input as we deliberate on this matter. Our aim remains to identify an efficient and risk-informed approach to licensing emerging remediation technologies in accordance with our mission to protect the public health and safety and the environment.
