This refers to the-routini safeguards inspection conducted by Messrs. G. Smith
and A. Della Ratta'of this office on June 19-23, and July 18 and 19, 1989 of
activities authorized by NRC License Nos. NPF-14 and NPF-22 and to the
discussions of our findings held by Mr. Smith with Mr. R. G. Byram and other
members of your- staff at the. conclusion of the inspection.
Areas examined during this inspection are described in the NRC Region I
Inspection Report which is enclosed with this letter. Within these areas, the
inspection consisted of selective examinations of procedures and representative
records,.. interviews with personnel, and observations by the inspector..
Within the scope of this inspection, no violations were observed.
